Affirming my own personhood

I am fine and I am safe.

Reaffirming personhood. For many it’s something they have to do for themselves. And even when we may have people who can reaffirm personhood for us, it is a good practice to also be equipped to do so for yourself.

I use the phrase listed above. I am fine and I am safe. These are the two issues that I feel are important for me to know about my circumstances and myself. I use it to reaffirm my internal state and my external condition. If either isn’t true I then work to make sure that I can say that phrase in truth. What we never want to have in incongruence between what we say and how things are, especially if it is a matter of personal safety. Saying that I’m safe when I’m in danger is foolish, so I act to make myself safe.

Affirmations are effective tools to affirm yourself, a circumstance, to state aspirations, to encourage and a host of other positive benefits.
